Iraqi oil export revenues jump by more than $390 million in April

According to the ministry’s statement, Iraqi oil exports recorded about 3.288 million barrels per day, compared to the quantities exported during the month of March, which amounted to about 3.255 million barrels per day.

The preliminary statistics, announced by the state oil marketing company “SOMO”, revealed that the revenues from Iraqi oil exports during the month of April 2023 recorded about $7.796 billion, compared to the revenues of last March, which amounted to $7.404 billion.

This coincides with the record price of a barrel of Iraqi oil at about $79.04, compared to what the price of a barrel achieved during last March at $73.37, according to information seen by the specialized energy platform.

The total quantities of Iraqi crude oil exports, in April 2023, were about 98 million 634 thousand and 947 barrels, compared to 100 million 913 thousand and 27 barrels exported during the month of March.

The federal government seeks to maximize the revenues of Iraqi oil exports during the year 2023, by implementing a plan to increase the quantities of exports by about 250,000 barrels of crude oil per day, during the second half of the year, bringing the total quantities to about 3.6 million barrels per day.

And the revenues from Iraqi oil exports had recorded, at the end of last year 2022, a big jump that exceeded the $115 billion barrier in support of the country’s general budget, compared to about $75.5 billion recorded in the previous year 2021.
